In East Godavari district, seven people lost their lives when a lorry fell into a canal at midnight after the driver tried to avoid a pothole. All those sitting on top of the lorry died instantly, while one person was rescued and hospitalized. CM Chandrababu Naidu expressed his condolences and assured government support for the victims' families.

NEW DELHI: At least seven people were killed when a lorry plunged into a canal in Devarapalli, East Godavari district at midnight.
According to DSP G. Deva Kumar, the driver lost control while trying to avoid a pothole, causing the vehicle to veer off the road and fall into the canal. All seven individuals who were riding on top of the lorry died at the scene.

One person was rescued and taken to a hospital for treatment.
Chief minister Chandrababu Naidu expressed deep shock and grief over the accident. He assured that the government would support the victims' families and provide the necessary assistance.
