Actor
Saanand Verma, best known for his eccentric role as Saxena Ji in the hit sitcom
Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain, has an unusually calm and carefree take on summer. While most people gear up with skincare routines, seasonal fashion, and chilled environments to cope with the heat, Saanand takes it all in stride with a smile and a shrug.
“Everyone talks about applying sunscreen and taking care in the sun, but honestly, I don’t do any of that,” he says with a laugh. “I know I should, but I’m just careless in that area. My focus is completely on my work—on understanding my character and learning my dialogues. That’s where all my energy goes.”
While soaring temperatures often drive others indoors, especially in the entertainment industry where comfort is a luxury, Saanand finds peace outdoors. “I love being outside under the open sky. I don’t even sit in the AC for long. I usually stay outside the vanity van, engaging in creative work or just soaking it all in,” he shares.
His summer fashion sense is equally effortless. “I’m not at all into fashion. I haven’t bought any new clothes in the last two years,” he says. “I just wear my old shorts and T-shirts. Even if I’m stepping out, it’s just a basic shirt and pants—nothing extravagant.”
Despite the rising heat, Saanand’s attitude remains unfazed. “I don’t let the weather affect my mindset. I stay focused on the present and my work,” he explains. “Though I do love winters. Cold weather really lifts my spirits.”
Having also made his mark in films like Chhichhore, Pataakha, and Babli Bouncer, Saanand’s grounded perspective and no-fuss approach highlight his dedication to his craft. While many adapt their lifestyle to the season, he chooses to adapt his mindset. “If it’s hot, it’s hot. That’s it,” he says simply.
In a world full of summer hacks and trends, Saanand Verma stands out for his simplicity and commitment to staying real—no matter the season.
