When Jaya Bachchan cursed Rajesh Khanna after he said Amitabh Bachchan has no future in the industry

Many reports have suggested that Jaya Bachchan was dating Amitabh Bachchan even before he gave his first big hit. It was much before 'Zanjeer'. At that point in time, Big B was also a voice over artist. Jaya Bachchan was working with Rajesh Khanna in 'Bawarchi' during those days and Khanna was a huge superstar. Infact, he's still called the first superstar of Hindi cinema.Reports suggest that at that point in time when Jaya Bachchan was working with Khanna, in 1972 on the sets of 'Bawarchi', he told the actress to not waste her time with Bachchan. Rajesh also said that Big B did not have a future in the industry. However, Jaya was surprised and angry after hearing his comments. She cursed Khanna that one day he will see where he will be. She said that he would be ruling the industry one day and Khanna would be there to see that.Eventually, Khanna also worked with Bachchan in 'Anand' which turned out to be a huge hit and continues to be remembered. Big B attained stardom post the release of 'Zanjeer' and then with back to back movies like 'Deewar', 'Sholay' and many more, he came to be called 'The Angry Young Man'.Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya got married in 1973. It was a very instant decision after Big B's father Harivanshrai Bachchan said that if the duo had to travel together to London after the success of 'Zanjeer', then they will have to get married.
