Pahalgam terror attack: Sunny Deol calls for end to terrorism; Sidharth Malhotra demands justice for victims

Bollywood actor Sunny Deol, has strongly condemned the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, expressing solidarity with the victims and calling for an end of terrorism.
Taking to Twitter, the Jaat actor wrote, "At this time the world should think only about ending terrorism because its victims are only innocent people, humans need to look within themselves. I stand with the affected families in this hour of grief."
The actor, who is also known for his role in politics and his vocal stance on national issues, is currently riding high on the success of his film 'Jaat'.
Joining him in condemning the violence was actor Sidharth Malhotra. The dad-to-be took to his handle to express his faith in the armed forces and their speedy justice. He wrote on his Instagram stories, "The terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir on innocent civilians is a cowardly act. I have full faith in our armed forces and I’m sure they will do the needful and ensure justice. My prayers and thoughts are with the families of the innocent victims. Jai Hind!”
Terrorists struck a prime tourist location of Pahalgham in South Kashmir on Tuesday, killing multiple people and injuring at least 20, officials said.
Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said the death toll is still being ascertained. "This attack is much larger than anything we've seen directed at civilians in recent years," he said on X.
The incident occurred at around 3 PM when terrorists came down from the mountain in Baisaran valley and started firing at the tourists who frequent the place which is often dubbed as 'mini Switzerland'. According to initial reports, the terrorists emerged from the dense pine forest surrounding the Baisaran, which was a famous spot for Bollywood movie makers in 1980s.
Since news broke on the attack, several world leaders have strongly condemned the violence and extended their condolences.
Early reports suggest the Pakistan-based terror outfit, The Resistance Front, an offshoot of the banned Lashkar-e-Taiba, has claimed responsibility for the assault, marking one of the worst attacks in the region in recent years.
