Ahmed Khan admits Akshay Kumar relies on teleprompter for his dialogues: 'But he also adds interesting things...'

The term 'Teleprompter actor' became popular after a clip from Sarfira showed Akshay Kumar reading his dialogues from a teleprompter. Choreographer and director Ahmed Khan confirmed this, saying Akshay uses a teleprompter but makes up for it with high energy and humorous lines in his scenes.

In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Ahmed explained that many actors have different working styles, and using a teleprompter is also a skill. He noted that while some actors focus only on memorizing dialogues, Akshay Kumar brings physical energy and adds his own creative lines to enhance scenes. Akshay believes in contributing more to the film rather than just memorizing dialogues.



A VFX artist and video creator on Instagram shared a clip from Sarfira, claiming Akshay Kumar was reading from a teleprompter. The video highlighted moments where his eye movements suggested he was following lines rather than engaging with co-actors. In an emotional scene, he appeared to focus on the script instead of the person in front of him.



Sarfira struggled at the box office, continuing Akshay Kumar’s streak of underperforming films. His previous release, Sky Force, had moderate success but faced allegations of inflated earnings.
