The legendary cricketer Virat Kohli once again made the nation proud as he achieved his 81st international century. The Indian cricketer dedicated this career milestone to his wife, Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma, highlighting her support during his difficult days.
There are days in everyone’s life when you see lows more than the highs. Virat Kohli was also facing something similar but roared back and thrived beautifully as he gave his extraordinary performance in Australia. Speaking about the same with Adam Gilchrist, Virat Kohli mentioned that Anushka stood by him when he wasn’t feeling like himself. She was aware of everything and finally, when she was in the stadium when Virat made another record, the moment turned all the more special for him.
"Anushka has been right by my side through thick and thin. She knows everything that goes on behind the scenes, what goes on in the head when you don't play as well, you make a few mistakes after getting yourself in,” expressed Virat in in conversation.
“I just wanted to contribute to the team's cause, I do not want to hang around just for the sake of it, I take pride in performing for the country. Feels amazing, the fact that she is here makes it more special," he continued.
For the unversed, with eight fours and two sixes, Virat made a score of 100 in 143 balls. He had a strike rate of impressive 69.93. The cricketer raised his bat above his head after the century and had a sigh of relief. The contentment of making another record was visible in his eyes. All this while, Anushka stood as the biggest support and cheerleader for her husband. She was seen cheering for both her hubby and team India in the stadium stand. Perhaps it is this support of the stars for one another that makes them the power couple!
