Miley Cyrus might buy some flowers or hold her hand herself now, but when everything went down, she was devastated to the point where she lost her voice. Miley and
Liam Hemsworth’s tumultuous relationship is no news, but the one incident changed her life for better or for worse.
The conflict between Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth
In a 2019 interview with
Howard Stern, Miley reflected on her life from being a teenage star to her ex, Liam Hemsworth.
Referring to the ‘Hunger Games’ actor, Miley said that they drifted apart because there was too much conflict in the end. “When I come home, I want to be anchored by someone. I don't get off on drama or fighting,” she said.
While being sober was not a part of the conflict, Liam and Miley’s Malibu house burning down in the 2019 California fire certainly was, where she lost every shred of memory. However, she continued and said that she will always love him.
“Me being an intense person and not wanting to sit with it and not wanting to go, you know, ‘What could be purposeful about this?’ I just clung to what I had left of that house, which was me and him. And I really do and did love him very, very, very much and still do, always will,” she said.

Miley Cyrus feels thankful for the better outcome
In August 2019, Liam filed for divorce, and they settled in 2020. Reflecting on such a crucial moment in her life, Miley recently disclosed having gratitude for the aftermath.
After the preview of the screening of her upcoming visual album, ‘Something Beautiful,’ Miley was asked by a fan what advice she would give to her younger self based on what life she has now. Miley stated, “When my house burned down, that was the biggest blessing I've ever had in my life, actually.”
“And I guess for me, when my house burned down, a lot of my relationships also burned down, and that again just led me to such magic and to have so much gratitude,” she added, according to People Magazine.
