“I’m sick of all you b-tch a-- n-----”: De’Vondre Campbell broke silence on 49ers suspension with explosive social media rant

The 49ers' season in 2024 was disappointing, especially with the way De'Vondre Campbell's season ended. The veteran linebacker declined to participate in Week 15's loss against the Rams because of less playing time, and he was subsequently suspended for the remainder of the season. Although the team recently removed the suspension, Campbell's time in San Francisco is essentially done. Due to become an unrestricted free agent next month, the fourth-round selection in 2016 will soon be searching for his fifth franchise in less than a decade.

De'Vondre Campbell spoke on his suspension

De'Vondre Campbell, a veteran linebacker, has publicly criticized his unceremonious exit from the San Francisco 49ers and the NFL. Campbell, who joined the 49ers in 2024, refused to play in the team's December 12 game against the Los Angeles Rams and was later suspended for the rest of the season. His social media rant aimed to address his critics.

The 49ers suspended 31-year-old linebacker Campbell due to detrimental conduct, according to their general manager, John Lynch. The suspension has been widely discussed online and in NFL programming, but Campbell has remained largely quiet.

On February 21, Campbell criticized X for being "soft" and acting tough after crying his way out of two teams, leading to a lengthy and profanity-laden rant on the platform. “Listen, I’m sick of all you bitch a-- n----- jumping under my tweets,” the linebacker began his response. “It’s been 2 months and I have yet to address the situation cause I know the truth and don’t care to clear anything up.”

“I’m by myself ALL the time,” Campbell continued, “if you or any of them bitch a-- n----- from the 49ers feel some type of way go wit ya move when you see me cause all them n----- that had so much to say about me gone have to stand on them words next time I see them.”

The linebacker, who has been standing on business his entire life, defended himself against criticism during his time with the 49ers, stating that those criticizing him do not know him and referred to only the San Francisco team's statements as evidence.

“That goes for all them old a-- retired n----- that jumped on TV speaking on my name when they could’ve reached out to me and heard it from the [horse's] mouth,” he wrote, “but they just took what the 49ers said and ran with it. [Y'all] n----- p---- too f--- all of [y'all].”

Campbell played college football at Hutchinson Community College before transferring to Minnesota and was selected by the Atlanta Falcons in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL draft. Campbell has also played for the Arizona Cardinals and the Green Bay Packers.
